Head of Software Development

Engineering Practice and Quality

• Champion AI-assisted and agentic engineering practices with guardrails for code review, testing, security, intellectual property, and measurable adoption.
• Set and enforce standards for code review, automated test coverage, static analysis, formatting, and CI build gates.
• Own release and package discipline across independently published packages and shared contracts.
• Own regression prevention and require tests for defect fixes across related occurrences.
• Own the Quality Assurance function, automated test estate, and production defect escape-rate accountability.

Collaboration and People Leadership

• Partner with Architecture on design reviews and Infrastructure Operations on the operability and resilience of shipped systems.
• Mentor technical staff, oversee development plans, and develop Engineering Managers and Tech Leads across Greensboro and Noida.
• Balance engineering capacity across the portfolio and build a technical leadership bench in Noida.
• Act as a customer advocate and communicate customer insights and pressing issues to internal stakeholders.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 12+ years of software development leadership experience with complex commercial software products.
• Extensive .NET, C#, ASP.NET Core, Razor, MVC, Node.js, and React.js experience.
• Working depth in Go, plus relational and distributed database design experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Kubernetes-based deployment, GitOps, AI-assisted engineering, Agile or Scrum, microservices, and DevOps.
• Experience leading multinational development organizations and managing budgets aligned with product delivery goals.
• Experience in customer-centric product design and strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MariaDB, Vitess, CockroachDB, or another distributed SQL engine is strongly preferred.
• Experience shipping in a SOC 2 or FedRAMP-readiness environment is preferred.
• Experience in supply chain, procurement, fintech, audit, or data and analytics domains is preferred.
• An undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science or another technical field, and/or a graduate business degree, is a strong plus but not required.
• Contextual Inquiry or another customer-focused development process experience is a strong plus.

Work Environment and Travel

• The stated work environment is the apexanalytix Global Capability Center in Noida, India.
• Occasional travel is required, including periodic travel to the company's headquarters in Greensboro, North Carolina.
