Role Overview
The role owns the partner side of the Open Money Stack and builds the liquidity function supporting money movement across corridors.
The function is newly established, and the successful candidate will build its operating model and team.
Responsibilities
- Own the partner book across banks, market makers, OTC desks, custodians, payout aggregators, ramp providers, and compliance or licensing partners.
- Build liquidity across priority corridors in the Americas, Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Gulf.
- Model corridor economics and determine when to pre-fund, source on demand, or use market maker partnerships.
- Work with Sales to ensure customer corridors and volumes have viable liquidity at workable prices.
- Negotiate term sheets, MoUs, commercial contracts, and revenue-share agreements.
- Hire and shape the team as the partnerships and liquidity function grows.
Required Experience
- Experience sourcing and managing liquidity from a payments company, market maker, OTC desk, bank treasury function, or crypto trading business.
- Commercial negotiation experience with regulated institutions such as banks, PSPs, and licensed exchanges.
- Fluency in stablecoin and FX mechanics, including spreads, settlement risk, and the impact of pre-funding on margin.
- Ability to build and defend financial models in Excel.
- Judgment about which partnership opportunities are worth pursuing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Depth in one or more live payment corridors.
- Existing relationships with market makers, custody providers, or payout networks.
- Background spanning both traditional payments and crypto.
