Your Role
Own the partner side of the Open Money Stack and build the liquidity function underneath it.
Build a new function rather than inheriting a finished operating process.
The role covers banks, market makers, custodians, aggregators, ramp providers, and compliance or licensing partners.
Your Responsibilities
- Source, negotiate, sign, and manage the partner book after signature.
- Build liquidity strategies and economics for priority corridors across multiple global regions.
- Choose between pre-funding, on-demand liquidity, and market-maker partnerships by corridor.
- Evaluate spreads, FX, settlement timing, trapped capital, and fee structures to determine profitability at volume.
- Work with Sales to confirm that customer corridors and volumes can be supported at viable prices.
- Negotiate term sheets, MoUs, commercial contracts, and revenue-sharing agreements.
- Hire and shape the team as the function expands.
What You'll Need
- Experience sourcing and managing liquidity in payments, market making, OTC trading, bank treasury, or crypto trading.
- Commercial negotiation experience with regulated institutions such as banks, PSPs, or licensed exchanges.
- Fluency in stablecoin and FX mechanics, including settlement risk and pre-funding.
- Ability to build and defend financial models in Excel.
- Judgment about which partnerships are worth pursuing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Depth in one or more live payment corridors.
- Existing relationships with market makers, custody providers, or payout networks.
- Experience spanning traditional payments and crypto.
