Head of Engineering – Mission Services

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia.

We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The Head of Engineering – Mission Services reports to the Director of Mission Services and is responsible for leading all Prime Contract Engineering Management activities associated with Electronic Warfare within Salam.

The job holder will provide leadership to, and functional management of, the BAE Systems Saudi Arabia Engineering functionally tagged staff deployed within the Electronic Warfare programmes and will advise the Salam Programme on Technical Issues and Engineering management strategies.

This includes responsibility for ensuring the Customers Electronic Warfare Requirements are captured, understood, and appropriately flowed down to the product and service providers.

The Head of Engineering Electronic Warfare will assure that the total technical EW solutions, when integrated together, meets the Customers intended use.

In this role the Head of Engineering Electronic Warfare will assist the product and service providers in the validation and acceptance of the various elements of the total solution with the Customer.

The Head of Engineering Electronic Warfare will provide Engineering leadership and direction to all the Salam Electronic Warfare activities assuring compliance with the Company’s Engineering Functional Governance Manual, in this role he will provide a controlled environment to manage all technical risks associated with meeting customer requirements within the timescales, quality standards and budgets set for the project.

The job holder will be required to hold a level of delegated responsibility on behalf of the Salam Engineering Director, endorsed by the VP Engineering & Maintenance, and will represent BAE Systems Saudi Arabia on all Electronic Warfare Engineering management matters relating to the Salam Programme with our Customers (RSAF & MODSAP), Partners, other BAE Systems Business Units and Sub-contractors through managing the strategic interfaces.
