About the Role
Apex Group seeks a Regional Head of Compliance Solutions for the MENA region to lead strategy, commercial growth, and regulatory engagement for compliance services.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategy for compliance solutions team across MENA region in collaboration with country head and regional managing director
- Identify emerging compliance trends, regulatory shifts, and market opportunities
- Build strategic partnerships with regulators, industry bodies, and key market stakeholders
- Support country head and regional managing director with prospects and deal negotiations for compliance solutions
- Work with global product teams to localise offerings for MENA regulatory frameworks (AML, KYC, sanctions, ESG, data privacy, governance, etc.)
- Provide insights for product enhancements and roadmap prioritisation
- Maintain relationships with regulators (e.g., DFSA, ADGM, VARA) and ensure compliance solutions remain aligned with local regulations
- Participate in regional compliance forums, panels, and industry events
- Act as subject matter expert on MENA regulatory developments
- Lead and develop a high performing regional compliance team (sales, client delivery, product specialists)
- Oversee regional operations, resource planning, and budget management
- Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and client centricity
Requirements
- At least 15 years plus experience in a manager role incorporating the above functions
- Strong educational background, preferably
- Strong selling skills to lead business development initiatives
- Proactive and willing to drive things forward
- Ability to work to and meet agreed deadlines
- Flexible in work approach due to nature of the role to meet client deliverables
- Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills
- Ability to multi task and work in a pressurised environment
- Capacity to problem solve and ability to deal with complex issues
- A participative management style that aims to motivate staff and develop their skills and capabilities

Role Overview
- Regional Head of Compliance Solutions for MENA region at Apex Group.
