Job Description

  • Roles & Responsibilities: Strong programme delivery, project leadership, and PMO governance capabilities across large scale Data & AI transformation initiatives.
  • Expertise in stakeholder management, executive communication, and structured problem solving to drive strategic decision making and business outcomes.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary consulting teams, manage complex engagements, and ensure successful value realisation for clients.
  • Strong commercial, operational, and consulting capabilities, including business development, resource planning, risk management, and continuous improvement.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience leading consulting delivery engagements, with a strong track record of on time, on budget delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio of concurrent Data & AI or digital transformation projects at Tier 1 clients.
  • Hands on experience with structured delivery methodologies (Agile, waterfall, hybrid) across large scale technology programmes.

Strategic

  • Define and lead the delivery strategy, operating model, and governance framework for the Consulting unit, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and client expectations.
  • Drive continuous enhancement of delivery methodologies, frameworks, playbooks, and toolkits to improve execution efficiency, quality, and risk management.
  • Identify and develop emerging consulting and delivery capabilities, including Agile AI delivery, and human centered design, to strengthen market competitiveness.
  • Contribute to the go to market strategy by leveraging delivery success stories, client outcomes, and case studies to support business development and pipeline growth.
  • Lead workforce planning and capability development initiatives, partnering with HR to attract, develop, and retain high performing consulting talent.
  • Serve as the executive delivery sponsor for strategic client programmes, managing senior stakeholder relationships and ensuring effective governance and communication.
  • Build long term client partnerships that drive account growth, repeat business, and opportunities for service expansion within active engagements.
  • Represent the Consulting unit in executive governance forums, providing strategic insights, programme performance updates, and risk mitigation recommendations.
  • Own portfolio level financial performance, including revenue forecasting, margin optimization, resource utilization, and commercial governance across consulting engagements.

Operational

  • Lead end to end execution of projects and programmes, ensuring effective team coordination, excellence delivery, and achievement of defined business outcomes.
  • Implement and enforce robust project governance frameworks, including milestone tracking, quality assurance checkpoints, and structured delivery reviews.
  • Track and report delivery performance across the portfolio using key KPIs such as schedule adherence, budget utilization, quality metrics, and client satisfaction scores.
  • Manage escalations from delivery teams and take direct ownership of at risk engagements by driving structured recovery and stabilization plans.
  • Ensure all client deliverables undergo rigorous quality assurance and structured peer review prior to submission and client acceptance.
  • Lead, supervise, and develop consulting teams including managers, analysts, and domain specialists to ensure high performance and capability growth.
  • Oversee resource planning and allocation across engagements to optimize utilization while maintaining balanced workload distribution and team wellbeing.
  • Conduct regular performance management activities, including feedback sessions, coaching, and structured career development discussions.
  • Manage onboarding and integration of new team members to ensure alignment with delivery standards, methodologies, and client expectations.
  • Continuously enhance the consulting delivery methodology by incorporating lessons learned and best practices from completed engagements.
  • Conduct structured post project reviews and translate insights into improved frameworks, tools, playbooks, and training content.
  • Maintain strong risk management practices by ensuring active risk registers, monitoring mitigation actions, and addressing delivery risks proactively.

People Management

  • Ensures the culture of the practice is aligned to the overall culture and ways of working of malomatia.
  • Track the progress and offer support for the advancement of knowledge and skills.
  • Provides guidance and direction to direct reports by managing their performance through appropriate feedback, coaching and counseling.
  • Provides inputs about project team members in their performance appraisal and recommendations for promotion and bonuses/incentives.
  • Provides input and guidance into the project resourcing and actively participates in recruitment and retention activities.
  • Supports leadership & functional capability building initiatives through training as per organization’s guidelines.
  • Facilitates succession planning for critical roles within the practice unit.
  • Provides strong, dynamic leadership that mentors, develops, and guides employees to efficiently perform and achieve customer delivery excellence.
  • Fosters high level of employee engagement and retention of talent.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized university.
  • Master's degree (MBA or relevant technical MSc) is preferred.
