Job Summary Lead and manage a team of application engineers within the High Voltage Business Unit (HBU), ensuring the successful technical solutioning, design, and quotation for high voltage products and systems, meeting customer requirements and business objectives. Job Responsibilities * Manage, mentor, and develop a team of application engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration. * Oversee the technical review and interpretation of customer specifications, RFQs, and tender documents for high voltage products and systems (e.g., circuit breakers, disconnectors, instrument transformers). * Lead the development of comprehensive technical proposals, including detailed system designs, single-line diagrams, layouts, and equipment selections, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., IEC, ANSI). * Guide the team in performing technical calculations, simulations, and analyses (e.g., short-circuit, insulation coordination, dielectric strength) to validate proposed solutions. * Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, R&D, and project management teams to ensure alignment between technical solutions, commercial offerings, and project execution. * Act as a primary technical point of contact for key customers, presenting solutions, addressing technical queries, and building strong relationships. * Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the application engineering function, including process optimization, tool development, and knowledge sharing. * Ensure all technical documentation, including datasheets, drawings, and technical specifications, is accurate, complete, and maintained. * Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and technological advancements in high voltage applications to inform strategic planning and solution development. * Participate in internal and external technical discussions, workshops, and conferences to represent HITACHI ENERGY INDIA LIMITED. Job Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred. * Minimum of 10 years of experience in application engineering, design, or project engineering within the high voltage power industry. * At least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role, leading a team of engineers. * In-depth knowledge of high voltage products (e.g., GIS, AIS, circuit breakers, instrument transformers, surge arresters) and their applications. * Strong understanding of relevant national and international electrical standards (e.g., IEC, IS, ANSI). * Proficiency in engineering software tools for electrical design, analysis, and simulation. * Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and cross-functional teams. * Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under pressure. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail. * Fluency in English is required; knowledge of local languages (e.g., Hindi) is a plus.
