Standard Job Description

Basic Qualifications

• Broad technical skills such as rigid body dynamics, control theory, and/or computer programming. • Proven experience using MATLAB and/or Simulink for simulation and analysis of feedback control systems, closed loop guidance, or navigation algorithms. • C/C++ programming experience • Demonstrate strong math skills in the areas of linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and/or coordinate transformation. • Ability to clearly document analysis results in presentation slides and engineering memos • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment. • Bachelor Degree in an Engineering or similar field (i.e. mathematics, computer science, physics). • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Must be a US Citizen.

Desired Skills

• Experience with simulations and physics-based modeling • Experience with state estimation and navigation algorithms, including Extended Kalman Filters • Experience with kinematics using Euler Angles and Quaternions • Experience with autopilot design and linear stability analysis • Familiarity or experience with missile defense systems or fire control • Experience with C++ development and Gitlab • Experience with FORTRAN and 6DOF simulations • Experience with model based software development using Simulink (autocoding) • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong interpersonal skills • Demonstrated ability as a team player to build consensus among peers and build effective relationships with team members. • Demonstrated communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors and customers. • Familiarity with agile software development • Distributed/parallel processing • Possess a Secret clearance
