Job Overview
Overview
At Intuit, our mission is to Power Prosperity for consumers and small businesses around the world. To help us achieve this, we are seeking a Group Design Manager to lead our design team focused on our company-wide AI acceleration initiatives. In this role, you'll lead a team of designers and design technologists that will deliver both internal-facing and customer-facing experiences that are central to our AI acceleration and future products.
At Intuit, we're intentionally building AI into how we design, prototype, and ship — and we're committed to equipping our teams to work at the forefront of it. We look for designers who are excited to bring AI into their workflow — using it to move faster, explore further, and save their energy for the decisions that only human judgment and creativity can make. We're looking for designers who are curious, eager to experiment, and excited to continually evolve how they work.
Responsibilities
- Inform the strategy and direction of our AI-acceleration initiatives through design thinking, experimentation with customers, and thoughtful data gathering.
- Drive successful team outcomes by identifying customer problems, defining requirements, tracking work in progress, and delivering it to customers.
- Work closely with 3rd party vendors for build/buy/partner recommendations on solutions that will augment our in-house capabilities.
- Expertly craft stakeholder and customer communications to promote and advocate for adoption of our AI-accelerated tools..
- Advocate for adoption throughout the company, acting as a subject matter expert to designers and developers utilizing these new tools.
- Balance long term considerations with continuously shipping, iterating, and evolving the design platform.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in internal tooling, internal transformation, design technology, or a related field. Considerable work experience at a design tool vendor is preferred.
- 3+ years of experience managing designers and/or developers.
- Practical design systems experience that shows significant contribution to an existing, enterprise-grade design system or design tools.
- A clear understanding and point of view on how artificial intelligence will change the craft of product building.
- Examples of design and development advocacy that led to breakthrough adoption of design system tools, processes, or artifacts.
- Highly collaborative team spirit able to take in multiple points of view, synthesize decisions, and communicate outcomes across the organization
- Mastery of design tools, agile development methodologies, and accessibility requirements, both in design and code
- Artistry and excellence in simplifying complex ideas, identifying risks and dependencies, and delivering for customers within the constraints of technology
- Confidence in managing through ambiguity with a track record of creative problem solving that demonstrates flexibility
- A love for technology, and an insatiable curiosity for new tools to solve real problems
- Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach.
