Company Overview

Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With tens of millions of customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

As the Senior Marketing AI Development Lead, you'll build and scale AI capability across GBSG Canada Marketing, working directly with teams including Product Marketing, Digital Acquisition, and Marketing Ops. You'll sit inside each function, ship real AI tools that solve their actual problems, and set the direction for how the broader org gets better at using AI over time. This is a collaborative role by design, not a lone builder shipping quietly in the background. You'll spend real time with marketers: showing off what's possible, running demos, and getting people genuinely excited about what AI can do for their work. Half the job is building the thing. The other half is making people want to use it.

Intuit has embraced a hybrid working model and this role will be based out of our Toronto office 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Embed with marketing functions across GBSG Canada, including web, product marketing, media and LCM to understand how the work actually gets done before proposing a solution
  • Design, build, and ship AI tools and agents that fit each function's real workflow. Use whatever combination of platforms, frontier models, or custom code makes sense, rather than defaulting to one stack
  • Set technical direction for how AI shows up across GBSG Canada Marketing, and make real trade-off calls, for example deciding when a simple automation beats an agentic approach, taking responsibility for those decisions once they're live
  • Be the face of AI for GBSG Canada Marketing. Run demos and showcases, present to teams and leaders, and turn what you build into something people are genuinely excited to use, not just aware of
  • Carry solutions from first prototype through deployment and ongoing support. The goal is for teams to eventually run what you built without needing you
  • Build and maintain web components and experiences using React and modern front-end tools when a need comes up, and keep an eye on core web vitals, accessibility, and technical SEO. This is a baseline expectation, not the focus of the role, but you should be able to credibly ship real front-end code
  • Set up a simple, repeatable way for marketing teams to learn what you build, whether that's training sessions, office hours, or documentation, so adoption doesn't depend on you being in the room
  • Translate between engineering standards and each function's own way of describing what they need, since most of your stakeholders won't be technical
  • Look for AI opportunities marketing teams haven't thought to ask for yet, drawing on what's working elsewhere at Intuit and in the industry, and bring in outside ideas before they become standard elsewhere

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with real, hands-on experience shipping AI or LLM-powered products into production. This is the one requirement we won't flex on
  • A track record of making and defending real technical trade-offs, not just building demos
  • Strong full-stack or front-end web development experience. It's required even though it won't be the main focus in the first several months
  • Comfortable working as technical expert inside a business function, with little day-to-day oversight
  • Not attached to one platform or vendor. You'll pick whatever tool, model, or approach actually fits the problem
  • A strong communicator who can explain technical ideas to non-technical marketers and earn trust across several teams at once
  • Solid experience in at least one of these, with room to grow into the other: teaching or enabling people to use new tools, or finding and introducing new technical approaches before anyone asks
  • Comfortable with ambiguity. This role is still being defined, and that should sound exciting rather than uncomfortable
  • Marketing experience is a plus, not a requirement. Curiosity about how marketing works matters more than a marketing background
  • Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. This position may be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits ). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
