About the Role

- Identify areas for improvement of existing workflow and processes which could benefit WPP Production and/or the client.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with key stakeholders, senior budget holders and/or influencing clients and agencies.
- Co ordinate quarterly strategic reviews with the client to ensure objectives are being met.
- Demonstrate ability to write, prepare and present documents, presentations and reports tailored to each client.
- Identify training requirements and opportunities for clients to ensure adherence to processes.
- Ensure agendas and detailed contact reports are distributed following all client meetings.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the WPP Production business model, services and technology.
- Provide detailed monthly account review to the Managing Director.

- Proven experience in identifying and seeking new business opportunities
- Experience working with Production, Print, TV and Digital campaigns

The Role
- We are looking for an experienced Group Account Director who can lead and strategically develop one of our global clients.
- This role reports to the Client Services Director.
New Business & Business Development Responsibilities
- Run and lead any new business opportunity and pitch process including building the pitch team with the relevant senior management & new business lead.
- Build and maintain a client business development plan on an ongoing basis identifying specific opportunities and action required.
Client Management Responsibilities
- Ensure the client understands agreed workflows and manage them through the process.
- Set and manage client expectations deliverables and timeframes.
- Identify areas for improvement of existing workflow and processes which could benefit WPP Production and/or the client.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with key stakeholders, senior budget holders and/or influencing clients and agencies, manage perceptions and expectations.
- Co ordinate quarterly (or at least six monthly) strategic reviews with the client to ensure objectives are being met, issues raised and resolved, and you have visibility of workload.
- Demonstrate ability to write, prepare and present documents, presentations and reports that are tailored to each clients, style, preference, knowledge and experience.
- Identify training requirements and opportunities for clients to ensure their adherence to processes and improve workflow.
- Ensure agendas and detailed contact reports are distributed following all client meetings (face to face and phone calls).
Internal Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the WPP Production business model, services and technology.
- Provide detailed monthly account review to the Managing Director.
- Work with Account Directors/Account Managers to ensure optimum productivity levels are achieved and team morale is high.
- Implement standardised effective recruitment and retention process working in conjunction with the Talent Acquisition department.
Project Management Responsibilities
- Support Account Directors in coordinating between all relevant parties, especially the WPP Production Ltd production hubs (Print, Broadcast, Digital etc.) Clients and Agencies.
- Ensure you consistently deliver against all contractual obligations including SLAs and KPIs.
- Monitor internal workflows, identify areas for improvement and make recommendations.
Quality Control Responsibilities
- Act as a brand/QC guardian always ensure brand guidelines and QC checklists and procedures are followed by all team members.
Financial Responsibilities
- Deliver revenue to meet targets agreed with FD in revenue forecasting on an ongoing basis.
- Keep MD and FD informed of any circumstances which would positively or negatively affect forecasts.
- Audit profitability/deliverables against resource levels.
- Ensure full compliance with all financial procedures and policies.
Requirements
- Solid experience managing global production clients in multiple markets with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven experience in identifying and seeking new business opportunities.
- Experience working with Production, Print, TV and Digital campaigns.
- Exceptional client servicing skills.
- Team player.
- Strong numeracy skills.
