Position Overview

The role manages export documentation, customs compliance, order execution, customer communication, packaging, transportation, and packing-material procurement.

The position provides customer ownership from quotation and order processing through execution, communication, and invoicing.

Required Experience and Knowledge

  • Five to six years of experience in a similar field is required.
  • Practical knowledge of import-export procedures, compliance, rules, and regulations is required.
  • Experience with customs clearance, HS classification, SIMS, BIS, SCOMAT, and export-import GST compliance is required.
  • Knowledge of international logistics, Incoterms, letters of credit, and import-export categories is required.
  • Strong communication skills, independent working ability, pressure management, teamwork, and multitasking are required.
  • A graduate, postgraduate, or Foreign Trade qualification is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems is required; D365 knowledge is an added advantage.
  • People management skills and sales support or order execution experience are required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and audit export and trade documents, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and letters of credit.
  • Coordinate with customs, DGFT, customs house agents, freight forwarders, banks, inspection agencies, customers, planners, warehouses, and factories.
  • Coordinate freight bookings, container movements, shipment tracking, landed-cost calculations, duty verification, and logistics-invoice audits.
  • Manage order execution from acknowledgement through delivery, maintain backlog visibility, and communicate readiness dates and changes.
  • Ensure accurate HS classification and compliance with national and international trade regulations.

Other Tasks

Enter daily GMU customer orders in the ERP and send order-confirmation copies after planner confirmation.

Raise purchase requisitions for packing materials and consumables.

Coordinate economical packing and transportation without affecting deliveries.
