Role overview
Alfa Laval is seeking an Import and Export Assistant for a one-year contract.
The role supports import-export operations and the financial function of the business.
Key responsibilities
- Book transport for standard orders, documents, manuals, and related shipments.
- Coordinate import pickup, customs clearance, logistics, and documentation.
- Prepare shipping documentation according to receiving-country requirements and Letters of Credit.
- Follow up on shipments according to Incoterms.
- Invoice standard orders.
- Book ad hoc FCA import and domestic shipments.
- Approve freight invoices and file related documents.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in import-export work, including documentation and logistics coordination.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and understanding of ERP systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Graduate qualification.
- A diploma or qualification in foreign trade is preferred.
- Ability to multitask, learn quickly, and work in an adaptable manner.
