Role Description
The Global Operations Director is a part-time, hybrid role based in Abu Dhabi, with the option to perform some responsibilities remotely.
The role oversees end-to-end operational planning and execution of the AIM Virtual Vac Work Programme across multiple regions.
The position is responsible for consistent delivery standards, efficient processes, scalability, and programme quality.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate programme schedules and manage operational workflows.
- Optimize procedures to support scalability and quality.
- Work with academic partners, volunteer mentors, and internal stakeholders to align resources.
- Track performance metrics and drive operational improvements.
- Manage budgets and monitor compliance with internal policies.
- Lead a dispersed operations team to achieve programme objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills are required to interpret data, monitor programme performance, and support evidence-based decisions.
- Operations management and operational excellence capabilities are required to design and improve global processes and workflows.
- Team leadership skills are required to guide cross-functional teams and support collaboration.
- Budgeting skills are required to plan, track, and optimize programme financials.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are required across cultures and time zones.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, education administration, or a related field is required.
- Advanced qualifications are advantageous.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in education programmes, talent development, or early-career initiatives is beneficial.
- Experience in hybrid or remote operations environments and familiarity with digital collaboration tools are beneficial.
Work Arrangement
- The role is hybrid and based in Abu Dhabi, with some responsibilities optionally performed remotely.
