Role Overview
Join the finance team as a GL Accountant supporting accounting operations in a hospitality environment.
The role focuses on General Ledger accounting, reconciliations, hospitality revenue, closing activities, reporting, VAT, and audit support.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain General Ledger accounts and post journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
- Perform bank, balance sheet, intercompany, supplier, and other reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Review hotel revenue from POS, cash, credit card, and online payment transactions.
- Monitor daily revenue postings and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare schedules for accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with financial statements, management reports, VAT documentation, and audits.
- Coordinate with finance and operations teams and follow accounting policies and internal controls.
Required Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- At least three years of accounting experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is required.
- Strong General Ledger and month-end closing knowledge is required.
- Good knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting practices is required.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting or ERP software are required.
- Attention to detail, analytical ability, independence, deadline management, and communication skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with hotel accounting, POS revenue, income audit, and hospitality operations is preferred.
- Candidates currently available in the UAE are preferred.
Compensation and Employment
- The pay is AED 4,000–5,000 per month.
- The source employment type is contract.

- The work location is in person.
