Role Summary

  • The Academic Principal provides strategic academic leadership to ensure institutional excellence and high student achievement within the Female Section.
  • Responsible for curriculum implementation, staff development, and maintaining international accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the school leadership team to motivate staff and achieve strategic school goals.
  • Oversee daily operations of academic programs, curriculum, and faculty within the section.
  • Attract, employ, and retain highly qualified international female teaching personnel.
  • Manage staff performance evaluations, professional development, and mentorship programs.
  • Facilitate teamwork and collaborative decision making across all school sectors.
  • Define and update curriculum in line with international and local ministry requirements.
  • Lead school accreditation processes to maintain quality assurance standards.
  • Implement exemplary approaches to teaching, learning, assessment, and student inclusion.
  • Ensure safe, well equipped facilities and materials are available to support learning.
  • Participate in preparing annual operating plans, performance measures, and budgets.
  • Manage approved budgets and timelines efficiently to meet operational targets.
  • Direct procurement processes, including textbook ordering and resource allocation.

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience Profile

  • Must be female (Regulatory Compliance).
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or equivalent (Master's in Educational Leadership preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of senior leadership experience in national or international schools.
  • Thorough knowledge of international curricula and best practice standards.
  • Proven experience with international school accreditation standards and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability in performance appraisal, staff development, and change management.
  • Strong ethical and moral values with a passion for student well being.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and motivation skills.
  • Proven collaborative leadership style with excellent problem solving skills.

  • Student Academic Performance: Overall student achievement and growth.
  • Accreditation Ratings: Successful renewal and high ratings from accreditation bodies.
  • Retention Rates: Healthy student enrolment numbers and low staff turnover.
  • Community Satisfaction: Positive feedback from staff, parents, and student surveys.
