General Practitioner (GP)

Position Overview

Location and Work Arrangement

• The position is based at Aivita Wellness Clinic in DIFC, Dubai, UAE.
• Employment type is full-time and the role is on-site.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Conduct medical consultations, physical examinations, and patient assessments.
• Review histories, test results, medications, allergies, and health risks.
• Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic conditions within scope of practice.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic investigations.
• Develop individualized treatment, prevention, and follow-up plans.
• Assess suitability for IV therapies and other clinic treatments.
• Explain treatment options and risks, obtain informed consent, and prescribe appropriately.
• Monitor outcomes, arrange follow-up, and make specialist or emergency referrals.

Records and Clinical Collaboration

• Maintain accurate and timely patient records in the clinic EMR system.
• Work with the Medical Director, nursing team, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in clinical governance, infection control, emergency preparedness, and quality improvement.
• Maintain confidentiality, professional conduct, clinical knowledge, licensing requirements, and mandatory training.

Required Qualifications

• MBBS, MBChB, MD, or equivalent primary medical qualification from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of an approved medical internship.
• Minimum two years of post-internship clinical experience.
• Valid DHA licence, active DHA registration, or current DHA eligibility for the General Practitioner title.
• Relevant experience in general practice, family medicine, internal medicine, or primary care.
• Strong clinical judgment, documentation, and patient communication skills.
• Comfort using EMR systems and other clinical software.
• Excellent spoken and written English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous clinical experience in Dubai or the UAE is preferred.
• Experience or strong interest in preventive medicine, wellness, IV therapy, or personalized healthcare is advantageous.
• Current Basic Life Support certification is preferred and must be maintained before clinical duties.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification and an additional language such as Arabic are advantageous.
