Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the technical function for Interior Design and Finishes across multiple projects
- Oversee the full design development process from concept through execution
- Ensure all ID drawings, specifications, and materials comply with Employer’s Requirements, brand standards, and project objectives
- Drive value engineering initiatives to optimize costs while maintaining design quality
- Coordinate closely with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams
- Manage and secure approvals from authorities, including DM, DEWA, and Civil Defence
- Review and approve mock ups, material submissions, and finishing samples
- Provide technical guidance and solutions for complex design and construction challenges
- Monitor all ID and finished works to ensure compliance with safety, quality standards, and company procedures
- Guide project teams on best practices in high end finishes, detailing, and execution methodologies
- Support commercial teams with cost inputs, material selections, and alternative design solutions
- Ensure completion of all technical documentation, certifications, warranties, and project close out deliverables
Requirements
- Experience in leading technical function for Interior Design and Finishes across multiple projects
- Knowledge of design development process from concept through execution
- Experience with value engineering initiatives
- Familiarity with regulatory approvals from DM, DEWA, and Civil Defence
- Ability to manage and mentor technical teams
