- Record and post journal entries including accruals, prepayments, adjustments, and depreciation
- Reconcile bank, inventory, payables, receivables, and other ledger accounts
- Prepare trial balances and variance analysis for management reporting
- Assist in preparing financial reports and statements (Balance Sheet, P&L)
- Support month end, quarter end, and year end closing processes
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT regulations, and company policies
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Collaborate with departments like procurement, inventory, production, sales, and payroll
Requirements
- Experience in GL accounting, month end closing, cost allocations, and inventory accounting
- Knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
- Experience with financial reporting and audit support

Job Overview
- Responsible for GL accounting, month end closing, cost allocations, inventory accounting, and compliance with UAE regulations and company policies.
- Maintain the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting of financial transactions in the general ledger.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and post journal entries (accruals, prepayments, adjustments, depreciation).
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Reconcile banks, inventory, payables (AP), receivables (AR) and other ledger accounts.
- Ensure sub ledger balances match the main ledger.
- Support and perform tasks needed to close the books at the end of each month/quarter/year.
- Prepare trial balances and variance analysis for management reporting.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and statements (Balance Sheet, P&L).
- Assist AP & AR team in daily Posting.
- Contribute to the Energy Management System (EnMS) by following energy efficiency guidelines.
- Assist with audits and ensure timelines are met.
- Assist the Chief Accountant in ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.
- Provide data and explanations for internal and external audit processes.
Compliance and Qualifications
- Ensure records comply with IFRS, UAE VAT regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare schedules/supporting documents for tax filings (e.g., VAT).
- Work with departments to resolve discrepancies and validate posting of costs and transactions.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
