• Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; previous experience in manual labor, warehouse, landscaping, or waste management is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Curbside Collection: Assist Residential Drivers along assigned routes with manual loading of waste, recycling, and organic materials.
• System Operations: Skillfully operate hydraulic and compaction systems using proper techniques to prevent equipment damage.
• Vehicle & Driver Support: Act as a spotter to guide drivers during vehicle reversing, tight turns, and navigating congested route areas.
• Yard & Facility Housekeeping: Perform general yard cleanup, debris removal, sorting materials, and maintaining clean work zones.
• Equipment & Fleet Prep: Assist with daily vehicle washing, cab cleaning, and staging trucks or bins within the yard layout.
• Reporting & Maintenance: Promptly report any mechanical write-ups, route hazards, yard hazards, or safety incidents to management.
• Regulatory Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, municipal bylaws, company safety policies, and required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with Drivers, Helpers, and Terminal Supervisors to support smooth, efficient daily operations.
• Additional Duties: Perform other operational and facility duties as assigned by leadership.
