Role Overview
We are seeking a results-driven General Insurance Manager with strong expertise in underwriting, policy administration, and claims management across multiple insurance lines. This role involves leading underwriting operations, managing insurer relationships, ensuring compliance, and driving portfoli
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate complex risks and validate underwriting submissions.
- Approve quotations and ensure sound underwriting decisions.
- Provide technical guidance across Property, Liability, Engineering, Marine, Motor Fleet, and SME insurance lines.
- Monitor portfolio performance, including loss ratios and renewals.
- Lead and mentor underwriting teams, ensuring timely delivery.
- Conduct training on underwriting standards, compliance, and products.
- Review proposals, comparisons, and policy documents for quality control.
- Negotiate premiums, terms, and conditions with insurers.
- Support sales teams in client meetings and renewal discussions.
- Handle escalations related to underwriting or policy issues.
- Oversee policy issuance, endorsements, cancellations, and refunds.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, KYC norms, and documentation standards.
