- Lead and mentor underwriting teams, ensuring timely delivery
- Conduct training on underwriting standards, compliance, and products
- Review proposals, comparisons, and policy documents for quality control
- Negotiate premiums, terms, and conditions with insurers
- Support sales teams in client meetings and renewal discussions
- Handle escalations related to underwriting or policy issues
- Oversee policy issuance, endorsements, cancellations, and refunds

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Underwriting & Technical Oversight: Evaluate complex risks and validate underwriting submissions; approve quotations; provide technical guidance across Property, Liability, Engineering, Marine, Motor Fleet, and SME insurance lines; monitor portfolio performance.
- Team Leadership & Performance Management: Lead and mentor underwriting teams; conduct training on underwriting standards, compliance, and products; review proposals, comparisons, and policy documents for quality control.
- Insurer & Client Relationship Management: Negotiate premiums, terms, and conditions with insurers; support sales teams in client meetings and renewal discussions; handle escalations.
