General Inspector

Alfred H Knight has an opportunity for a General Inspector to work with our Inspection team, based in the Longview, Texas area.

You will be responsible for ensuring client instructions are carried out at agreed consignment locations, acting as an independent party to verify compliance with agreed processes and inspection and supervision procedures and providing details to clients regarding the handling of their product/s.

• Manual Tasks: Performing a variety of physical tasks, including but not limited to manual sampling, sample reduction, moving materials, applying security seals and observation of weighing operations.
• Tool and Equipment Operation: Operating hand tools, power tools and utilization of specialized industry tools as needed for the specific tasks.
• Following Instructions: Adhering to instructions and procedures provided by supervisors or project leaders.
• Safety Compliance: Maintaining a safe work environment by following safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift, carry and move heavy objects, and also the capability to potentially stand or walk for extended periods.
