Data Platform Engineer

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Data Platform Engineer to join our Group IT team at our global headquarters in Prescot, Merseyside.

Data sits right at the heart of our strategy, and this role plays a pivotal part in delivering reliable data pipelines, optimising our data lakehouse/warehousing solutions, and enabling modern analytics capabilities across the worldwide AHK Group.

Reporting directly to the Data Engineering Lead, you will design, build, and support our modern data platform solutions while taking hands-on responsibility for SQL Server environments, semantic models, and ETL/ELT pipelines.

• Database & T-SQL Development : Strong experience in T-SQL development within Microsoft SQL Server, including query optimisation, performance tuning, and routine maintenance .
