This is a part-time remote General Counsel role at Jobs for you.
The role provides day-to-day legal support and practical legal guidance to leadership and internal stakeholders.
Core responsibilities
- Review and draft contracts, policies, and agreements for legal and regulatory compliance.
- Advise leadership and internal stakeholders on legal risks, corporate governance, labour and employment matters, and data privacy obligations.
- Develop and maintain internal legal frameworks.
- Support risk management initiatives.
- Coordinate with external counsel when specialised expertise is required.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and translate them into practical guidance and policy updates.
Required qualifications
- Strong ability to analyse diverse legal issues and provide clear, practical legal advice.
- Knowledge of labour and employment law, including workplace policies, contracts, and dispute resolution.
- Experience with data privacy and protection laws, compliance practices, and risk mitigation.
- Understanding of corporate governance, organisational structures, board matters, and compliance frameworks.
- Law degree, JD, or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Active licence to practise law in a relevant jurisdiction.
- Several years of in-house or law firm experience, preferably with HR, compliance, and corporate advisory exposure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across teams.

- The role is part-time and remote.
