Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site General Cook (Healthy Meals) role based in Riyadh.

The General Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking healthy meals according to established menus, nutritional guidelines, and portion standards.

Daily tasks include washing, cutting, and cooking ingredients; operating kitchen equipment safely; and ensuring dishes are presented consistently and on time.

The role also involves maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen, following food safety and sanitation procedures, and properly storing ingredients and prepared items.

The General Cook will collaborate with other kitchen team members, monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and help adapt recipes to meet dietary requirements or customer preferences.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in basic and intermediate cooking techniques, including meal preparation, portioning, and safe operation of kitchen equipment.
  • Knowledge of healthy cooking methods, nutrition-aware meal planning, and adaptation of recipes for balanced, health-focused menus.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards, including proper storage, labeling, and temperature control.
  • Effective time management, organization, and ability to handle multiple orders while maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment and communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
  • Previous experience as a cook, kitchen assistant, or similar role in a commercial or institutional kitchen is preferred.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills for following recipes, measuring ingredients, and maintaining simple kitchen records.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends or evenings, as required by operational needs.
  • Commitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement in cooking practices and kitchen
