General Cashiering
- Collect cashier envelopes from the drop safe, count contents with a witness, and receive and bank cheques and daily collections.
- Prepare the Daily General Cashier Report for Income Auditor verification.
- Provide change funds for Front Office Cashiers and verify cash and foreign currency receipts in numerical sequence.
- Follow hotel cash and banking policies and disburse authorized petty cash vouchers for reimbursement.
- Monitor exchange rates, record cashier overages and shortages, conduct house-bank spot checks, and keep the safe secured.
- Prepare weekly petty cash journal vouchers and monthly cash receipt journals.
Paymaster Duties
- Supervise monthly payrolls and ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, benefits, and related amounts.
- Monitor time and attendance and account for payroll-related accruals.
- Prepare month-end journal voucher interfaces and monthly payroll reconciliations.
- Compile and input payroll data, including hourly employee payroll data.
- Explain payroll procedures, answer payroll inquiries, solve payroll problems, and enforce payroll policies.
- Ensure compliance with payroll procedures and applicable Qatar labor law.
- Prepare final settlement calculations, payroll reports, and personnel records for annual storage.
Finance and Team Support
- Support improvements to general cashiering, inventory, and insurance processes as directed by the Finance Manager.
- Coordinate finance schedules with programs, including annual leave schedules.
- Oversee new colleagues' posting, audit, and balance reporting work and help train new hires and cross-trainees.
