About the Role

What You’ll Do

• Build, operate, and maintain platform services across Google Cloud Platform.
• Support onboarding of applications, automation workloads, data pipelines, and internal platform services.
• Provision and manage cloud infrastructure with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, and automated deployment processes.
• Manage GCP services including IAM, VPC, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Composer, Pub/Sub, Logging, and Monitoring.
• Implement security guardrails for access management, secrets, compliance, tagging, and governance.
• Manage Kubernetes workloads and containerized platforms using Docker and GKE.
• Troubleshoot issues across compute, networking, storage, orchestration, monitoring, and identity layers.
• Maintain reusable Terraform modules, deployment frameworks, runbooks, standard operating procedures, and technical documentation.
• Support upgrades, patching, vulnerability remediation, incident response, and access reviews.

Who You Are

• Degree or higher qualification in software engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related technical discipline.
• At least five years of professional experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services and Terraform or comparable Infrastructure as Code solutions.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development workflows.
• Good understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, networking, firewall rules, service accounts, private connectivity, and secrets management.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Ability to diagnose complex cloud platform issues and create operational documentation.
• Experience working with Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Airflow or Cloud Composer, BigQuery operations, data pipelines, Dataflow, or Spark is advantageous.
• Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering, production support, incident response, and automation-driven operations is preferred.
