Role overview
Kabam is seeking a Game Programmer passionate about building and maintaining advanced gaming systems and tools.
This is a one-year contract opportunity, with priority given to applicants who can work on-site at the Montreal studio.
The role works closely with producers, artists, designers, and other programmers.
In this role, you can expect to
- Write, test, debug, and maintain clean, efficient, reusable code for gameplay features and mechanics.
- Create tools for designers and artists and integrate them with existing content creation workflows.
- Build extensible screens, widgets, and other UI elements.
- Review feature designs and provide input on costs and alternatives.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, communication, and Agile development processes.
Successful background
- 6+ years of software development experience, preferably in gaming.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Expert-level C# experience and professional proficiency with multiple game engines.
- Shipped multiple online titles on console, PC, or mobile.
- Experience with source control such as Git or Perforce and Android or iOS mobile development.
