Role Description

  • Oversee end to end production of classical and modern furniture, including interpreting technical drawings, selecting suitable wood and materials, and supervising cutting, shaping, and assembly processes.
  • Set up and operate woodworking machinery, ensuring quality control at each production stage.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and production staff to optimize workflows, solve technical issues, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Enforce safety procedures, monitor material usage, and contribute to continuous improvement in manufacturing methods.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in fine woodworking, including wood selection, cutting, shaping, joinery, and finishing for classical and modern furniture.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and design specifications.
  • Hands on experience setting up, operating, and maintaining woodworking machinery and hand tools in a production environment.
  • Demonstrated track record in furniture quality control.
  • Experience supervising or guiding workshop teams.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in furniture manufacturing.
  • Ability to collaborate with designers, engineers, and production managers.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Relevant technical diploma or certification in carpentry, furniture manufacturing, or a related field; equivalent hands on experience considered.
  • Previous experience in high end, custom, or classical furniture production is highly desirable; exposure to European design styles is a plus.
