Furnace Operator - 1st Shift

You probably don’t like being micromanaged, which is good because we don’t like to micromanage. As a Furnace Operator, you’ll work independently, owning your projects from start to finish. Projects vary in length, so you’ll juggle a few projects at once, switching between tasks throughout the day. It’s never a dull moment- from tracking the furnace’s performance one moment to packing in or out a project the next. While every day might be a little different, you can expect to do the following:

· Planning and changing out furnace loads and packing all orders

· Operating furnaces and other shop equipment

· Maintaining clean and orderly work areas (we pride ourselves on safety and cleanliness)

· Follow project instructions and complete all customer labeling and packaging requirements

· Configure and monitor settings on programs, recorders, and vacuum gauges

· Work efficiently while ensuring company quality standards are maintained

· Utilize a forklift and overhead crane as needed

· High School Diploma or GED required

· Basic math skills will serve you very well

· Reliable and organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize

· Comfortability working in a fast-paced environment moving around consistently throughout the day

· Ability to lift, bend, reach, and stand for extended periods of time

· Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or heat treatment is a plus but willing to train!

· Forklift and Overhead Crane experience/licensure a plus
