About Aedeon

Aedeon is the agent platform for enterprise modernization, built by Aedeon Inc., a separate product company founded by the same team that founded Mactores. Aedeon turns the systems already running a business applications, databases, data platforms, business rules, workflows into governed AI agents, grounded in a persistent Code Intelligence Graph of the customer's own code and verified through behavior-equivalence proof. Aedeon is delivered as a product, not a services engagement, and runs without mandatory forward-deployed engineers.

Product development

Assist in designing, building, and maintaining features across the Aedeon frontend (React + Next.js) under the guidance of senior engineers.

Work with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to understand requirements and help take features from spec to shipped, tested release.

Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives, and start building a product-first perspective.

Learning release discipline

Learn how features are owned end to end — from development through deployment and post-release validation.

Practice breaking down tasks against sprint timelines and flagging blockers early.

Shadow how the team coordinates with DevOps and QA to keep releases clean and repeatable.

Testing and quality

Learn test-driven development: write test cases before code, under mentor review.

Help write test cases for features you work on — functional flows, edge cases, and regression scenarios.

Get exposure to AI-assisted tools for generating test coverage, and to automated test suites (E2E, integration, unit) wired into CI/CD.

Collaboration and documentation

Write clear, well-documented code and submit pull requests for review.

Document your work features, test plans, decisions in Confluence or equivalent, in a way others can follow without you in the room.

Frontend fundamentals

Currently pursuing, or recently completed, a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (final-year students welcome).

Working knowledge of React.js fundamentals components, state, hooks.

Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript basics.

Some exposure to Next.js, Git, and modern frontend tooling is a plus, but not required, we'll teach you.

No prior professional experience required; personal projects, coursework, or hackathon work count.

Mindset

Curiosity about how production software actually ships — not just how it's coded.

Comfortable asking for feedback and iterating quickly on it.

Genuine interest in testing discipline and quality, not just feature output.

Any exposure to AWS services (S3, DynamoDB, Cognito) through coursework or personal projects.

Familiarity with Playwright, Cypress, or any automated testing framework.

A GitHub profile or portfolio showing projects you've built.

At Mactores, our recruitment process is built around distinct structured stages. Here's an overview of what to expect at each stage:

Panel Interview: A structured conversation with members of the hiring team covering your experience, product thinking, and how you work.

HR Discussion: During this 30-minute session, you'll have the opportunity to discuss the offer and next steps with a member of the HR team.
