Full Stack Engineer

Role Overview

Work Arrangement

• The role is based in Qatar and is explicitly onsite.
• The stated duration is one year, with working hours of eight hours per day.

Application Development

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance full-stack enterprise applications.
• Design and evolve SQL Server schemas while maintaining data integrity and audit requirements.
• Develop T-SQL procedures, views, database scripts, and sequential migrations without ORM or migration frameworks.
• Develop Node.js and Express APIs with REST, JSON integrations, authentication, validation, error handling, and third-party integrations.
• Develop responsive React and TypeScript applications with hooks, API clients, typed forms, validation, and data visualization.

Security and Deployment

• Implement authentication, authorization, RBAC, secure coding, CORS, XSS prevention, upload validation, secrets management, and data protection.
• Support deployment and operations in an on-premise Windows Server environment.
• Develop PowerShell deployment scripts and manage Windows services, scheduled tasks, firewall configuration, and application dependencies.
• Perform controlled script-based releases in an environment without runtime internet access.
• Vet and bundle dependencies and application assets before deployment.

Quality and Operations

• Troubleshoot application, database, deployment, and performance issues.
• Contribute to performance optimization, maintainability, reliability, and platform security.

Required Technical Skills

• Required frontend skills include HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, React 18, TypeScript, Vite, React Query or TanStack Query, typed forms, validation, and data visualization.
• Required backend skills include Node.js, Express.js, production REST APIs, authentication, authorization, request validation, error handling, database connectivity, pooling, and timeout management.
• Required database skills include SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, views, relational design, schema evolution, migration scripting, data integrity, audit requirements, and query optimization.
• Required deployment skills include Windows Server, PowerShell, Windows Services, Scheduled Tasks, firewall configuration, manual deployments, and restricted environments.

Experience and Qualifications

• At least 10 years of technical experience designing, developing, and maintaining frontend-to-backend applications is required.
• Strong experience with full-stack development, SQL Server/T-SQL, Node.js, Express.js, React, TypeScript, RESTful APIs, application security, and server-side authorization is required.
• On-premise deployment and Windows environment experience is highly desirable.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, computer engineering, or a related field is required.

Preferred Skills

• React Native, GraphQL, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, environment configuration, third-party integration, performance optimization, and enterprise application architecture are preferred.
• Experience in secure, restricted, or offline environments is preferred.
