The Student Support Services Specialist provides student-centered service and operational support to ensure the effective delivery of programs and services within the Center for Student Support (CSS).
The Specialist greets and assists students, provides general college information and supports intake and appointment scheduling in accordance with established procedures.
The position shares responsibility for service counter operations, responds to inquiries across multiple communication channels and provides training and direction to student employees.
The Specialist supports administrative and operational functions such as event coordination, purchasing, room reservations, data reporting and other assigned projects.
The role contributes to a welcoming and inclusive environment and collaborates with students, faculty, staff, administrators and community partners to support student success and meet the needs of a diverse student population.
This in-person position is primarily located in the counseling suite and may require evening and Saturday hours.
Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment.
Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.
LCC policy requires all LCC employees to be residents of the State of Michigan and to perform all work (with limited exceptions) within the State of Michigan.
Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process.

Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Demonstrated experience providing administrative, operational or office support functions.
Demonstrated experience using computer systems, including databases, Microsoft Office Suite or similar.
Demonstrated customer service experience.
Bilingual communication skills.
