Adjunct Positions are filled by semester on an as needed basis.

The Building Construction Technologies Adjunct must be able to effectively communicate and demonstrate knowledge of specific technical skills within both the lab and classroom environment to a diverse student population.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the instruction of Building Technologies course(s) in Interior Construction and/or Exterior Construction and/or Structural Framing.

The successful candidate may also be required to teach classes in construction materials and methods, construction technologies, mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, building information modeling, sustainable construction, energy management, and/or building commissioning.

The successful candidate will be able to adjust instructional techniques as required by individual student learning styles while maintaining a safe and positive learning environment for students and fellow faculty members.

Proven commitment to construction safety and quality construction standards is necessary. *Teaching assignments may include daytime and/or evening hours.

Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment.

Bachelor's Degree and two years relevant experience in residential/light commercial construction field; OR Associate's Degree in a related field and four years relevant experience in residential/light commercial construction field; OR High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of eight years relevant experience residential/light commercial construction field. Michigan Residential Builders License. Professional accreditation/certification as a LEED®AP, PE, CPC, CxA, or other related credential.
