Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles (trucks, forklifts, company cars) and other mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
• Execute repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, hydraulics, and other vehicle components.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Order and manage spare parts inventory, ensuring availability for planned and emergency repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure efficient workflow.
• Provide technical support and guidance to vehicle operators as needed.
• Keep up-to-date with new vehicle technologies and repair techniques.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in automotive mechanics is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a front-end mechanic, preferably in an industrial or fleet environment.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems in a variety of vehicles.
• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance schedules and preventative measures.
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and power tools.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
