Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor various back end machinery, including flangers, neckers, seamers, and packers
- Perform routine checks and adjustments to equipment to maintain optimal operating conditions
- Monitor production lines for defects, jams, or other anomalies, and take corrective action as needed
- Conduct quality control inspections of finished cans, ensuring they meet specified standards
- Load and unload materials and products onto and off production lines
- Maintain accurate production records and log sheets
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures
- Perform basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on machinery
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize production flow and efficiency
- Keep the work area clean and organized
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably with machinery operation
- Ability to understand and follow technical instructions and safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment and stand for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and record keeping
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 25 kg
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
