Role Description

  • The Owner role at Oceovate Shipping Line is a full time, on site position based in Lahore.
  • The Owner will oversee the overall strategic direction of the company, including market expansion, service development, and long term growth planning.
  • Day to day responsibilities include supervising operations for dry, reefer, and ISO tank logistics, ensuring service quality, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiency across all trade lanes.
  • The Owner will manage key relationships with shipping partners, agents, and customers, negotiate commercial agreements, and guide pricing and contract decisions.
  • This role also involves leading senior staff, setting performance objectives, monitoring financial results, and making data driven decisions to strengthen Oceovate’s position in the international NVOCC market.

Qualifications

  • Experience in international shipping, NVOCC operations, or container logistics, with strong knowledge of dry, reefer, and ISO tank services.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills, including the ability to build, mentor, and retain high performing teams.
  • Strong business development, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities to drive partnerships and commercial growth.
  • Solid understanding of global trade regulations, compliance standards, and safety requirements related to containerized cargo.
  • Financial acumen, including budgeting, P&L oversight, cost control, and long term investment planning.
  • Ability to work on site in Lahore and coordinate effectively with regional and international partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Maritime Studies, or a related field; advanced qualifications or industry certifications are an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency with digital tools and platforms used in logistics and operations management.
