Role overview
Join Validus Risk Management's front-end development team to design and develop React web applications.
The technology platform, Horizon, supports trade execution, portfolio management, and risk analysis for alternative asset managers.
The front-end team collaborates with quants, back-end engineers, and platform engineers.
AI tooling is a normal part of the development workflow.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality features with meaningful test coverage for order management and risk management applications.
- Collaborate on features spanning multiple parts of the technology stack.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and pair with other team members.
- Improve product UI and UX while upholding consistent design principles.
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, refinement, estimation, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to technology-stack discussions, including state management and API calls.
- Help build real-time back-end and front-end communication using WebSockets.
- Improve the Nx front-end monorepo built with Vite.
- Use Zustand, React Query, and React Router for state, data management, and routing.
- Build real-time market-data components with HighCharts.
