About the Role
Mashreq is seeking a Fraud Analyst for its Fraud Prevention & Intelligence division in Abu Dhabi. The role involves responding to law enforcement queries, assisting in financial investigations, and implementing fraud prevention measures.

Responsibilities
- Respond to queries from law enforcement agencies raised through email/portal
- Gather, record and securely retain evidence relating to investigations
- Assist in implementation of fraud prevention and detection across the bank
- Assist lead investigator in financial investigations dealing with financial fraud
- Ensure accurate recording and systematic tracking of information shared with law enforcement
- Reduce fraud losses by ensuring timely action/stoppage of cases
- Work with a team of fraud examiners in investigations
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting & Auditing, Criminal Justice, or related field
- 4 7 years of banking experience with 2 4 years in fraud investigations
- Preferably a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
- Strong knowledge of banking products and operations
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and Power BI
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Purpose
- To respond to queries from LEA raised through email/portal.

- Assisting in implementation of Fraud Prevention & detection in all parts of the Bank.
- Assisting the lead investigator in financial investigations dealing with financial fraud.
Key Result Areas
- Ensure accurate recording and systematic tracking of all information shared with LEA.
- Reduce fraud losses by ensuring timely action/stoppage of cases.
- Assists in implementation of Fraud Prevention/Detection with Fraud Risk Assessments, Automated Tools and Fraud Risk reviews.
- Assisting the lead investigator in financial investigations with other officers.
- Work with a team of Fraud Examiners in an investigation.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Preferably a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Accounting & Auditing, Criminal Justice, or related field.
- Minimum of 4 7 years of banking experience of which 2 4 years should be with Fraud investigations.
- Strong knowledge of a Bank’s lending and operations products and services.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to analyze complex situations and resolve them.
- Must possess advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and Power BI.
- Ability to handle pressure and tough situations.
Operating Environment
- Excellent working relationship with local authorities – Police/CID, Central Bank.
- Follow policies and procedures, complete tasks promptly.
- Sound knowledge of Banking products & processes.
