Key Responsibilities
- Expense Planning and Forecasting: Develop and maintain detailed expense forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with regional financial goals. Assist in the annual budgeting process, focusing on expense related inputs and assumptions.
- Cost Analysis and Optimization: Analyze expense trends and identify opportunities to optimize costs while maintaining operational efficiency. Provide actionable recommendations to reduce unnecessary spending and improve resource allocation.
- Reporting and Financial Insights: Prepare detailed expense reports, variance analyses, and dashboards for the regional head of FP&A and other stakeholders. Deliver insights on expense drivers, risks, and opportunities to support strategic decision making.
- Collaboration with Business Units: Partner with functional leaders (e.g., operations, HR, IT) to monitor and manage their expense budgets. Facilitate discussions to ensure alignment on spending priorities and compliance with financial targets.
- Expense Governance and Control: Support the implementation and enforcement of expense policies and guidelines across the region. Monitor adherence to budgetary controls and flag potential issues or discrepancies.
- Scenario Modeling and Risk Assessment: Conduct scenario modeling to assess the financial impact of potential changes in expense related factors. Identify and communicate risks associated with variances or unplanned expenses.
- Support for Regional FP&A Initiatives: Contribute to broader FP&A projects, such as system implementations, process improvements, or strategic planning. Act as a subject matter expert for expense management within the regional FP&A team.
- Data Integrity and Process Improvement: Ensure the accuracy and consistency of expense data within financial systems. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of expense management workflows.
