Foundational Engineer

The Camera Domain Associate Engineer is responsible develop, and maintain efficient and reliable C++ code for new and existing applications. Collaborate with cross-domain to design, implement and ship new features. Debug and resolve software defects and issues.

This role requires intermediate competency on the technical level, especially on Linux systems, and responsible for the delivering quality products to all Projects by following the engineering practices.

Your Team

This position is for individual contributor. What You Will Do

Understand the requirements, design, develop and debug system SW in the field of automotive Cluster & Infotainment system.

Analyze customer and internal requirements and specifications and translates these into software designs.

Work well with the distributed global teams.

Handle customer queries and calls.

Identify the technical dependencies & risks early in the stage.

Define the inter module interfaces and document the same.

Communicate with peers inside the Harman group to coordinate software development. This includes occasional travel for training or coordination with other groups.

What You Need

Master/bachelor’s in engineering (or equivalent) with 0 to 1 years of industry experience.Strong proficiency in C++ (C++11, C++14, or later versions) and its standard libraries (STL).Experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, design patterns, and software architecture.Familiarity with multi-threading, memory management, and performance optimization in C++.Experience working with version control systems like Git.Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting code issues.Familiarity with build systems such as CMake, Makefiles, or others.Experience with Unit Testing frameworks (e.g., Google Test).

What is Nice to Have Understanding of Linux internals, SE-Linux/SMACK, file system, operating system security, automotive security.
