The Applied AI Forward Deployed Engineering team partners with strategic customers to build reusable AI-native solutions for the Now AI Platform and enterprise environments.
The role acts as the technical owner of solution builds, spanning backend services, LLM pipelines, front-end integrations, and customer delivery.
Responsibilities
- Build solution-ready LLM-enabled applications across backend logic, data orchestration, and front-end UI.
- Operate alongside customers in the field to adapt, deploy, and iterate solutions in live environments.
- Deliver production-ready solutions in agile end-to-end sprints.
- Engineer APIs, orchestration pipelines, vector databases, LLM frameworks, and UI components.
- Integrate with legacy systems and ship resilient, secure software at speed.
- Build reusable libraries, prompts, scaffolds, SDKs, and documentation.
- Share field-tested feedback with platform and product teams to influence strategy and tooling.
What you bring
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in customer-facing or embedded roles.
- Ability to design and implement AI-native software in production environments.
- Backend, frontend, and API engineering experience with technologies including Python, Node.js, Java, React, Angular, REST, or GraphQL.
