Role Overview

Core Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop senior engineering and AI teams.
• Own goal setting, feedback cycles, career development, talent planning, and team wellbeing.
• Drive delivery excellence across multiple customer engagements.
• Set technical direction and architectural guardrails with technical experts and leads.
• Resolve delivery risks, team challenges, and customer concerns as a senior escalation point.
• Build relationships with senior customers and SAP leadership and advocate for team resources.
• Hire and onboard engineering talent across AI, data, and software engineering.
• Align team capabilities with strategic priorities and customer demand.
• Champion engineering best practices, responsible AI, learning, and innovation.

What You Bring

• Proven experience leading and managing senior engineering teams and building high-performing organizations.
• Strong technical background in AI, machine learning, data engineering, or software engineering.
• Experience with forward-deployed or customer-embedded delivery models and complex customer engagements.
• Strong problem-solving and design thinking skills with hands-on delivery accountability.
• Ability to develop talent, navigate organizational complexity, and align diverse stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work in an Agentic AI context.
• Experience hiring and scaling engineering teams across regions.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills with engineers, executives, and customers.
• Familiarity with SAP AI technologies and enterprise AI deployment realities is a strong advantage.
