This is a high-ownership engineering role at an early-stage healthtech startup building AI-powered payer compliance tools for surgical and procedural specialties. You'll sit between the founding team and clients, translating complex healthcare workflows into clean, reliable technical integrations. Your work directly shapes how provider practices operate day to day.
This is a high-ownership engineering role at an early-stage healthtech startup building AI-powered payer compliance tools for surgical and procedural specialties. You'll sit between the founding team and clients, translating complex healthcare workflows into clean, reliable technical integrations. Your work directly shapes how provider practices operate day to day.
Build and maintain integrations with provider practices and insurance systems using APIs, scrapers, and RPA where needed.
Join client discovery sessions with founders to map real-world workflows and convert them into technical requirements.
Ship custom integrations quickly and iterate based on live feedback from clients.
Contribute to the core product when integration work isn't the bottleneck.
Develop deep working knowledge of the US provider and payer landscape.
2 to 5 years of full-stack engineering experience building and shipping production features.
Startup background with a track record of owning features or products end-to-end, from discovery through delivery, in small teams.
Solid experience integrating with third-party APIs.
Proficiency in Python and FastAPI (or equivalent backend frameworks) and React with TypeScript (or equivalent frontend).
Active, proven use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar, with shipped production work to show for it.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical tradeoffs clearly to non-technical clients.
Comfortable attending in-person team and client meetings, with occasional travel as needed.
Strong pluses: experience building web scrapers or RPA solutions, familiarity with AWS or GCP infrastructure, prior work in US healthcare or with provider/payer systems, or production LLM application development.
Salary range: $150,000 to $230,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
