Job Description
- The Operator is accountable for safe and efficient operation of the forklift and may perform stock keeping duties.
- Receiving/Put Away: Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations.
- Quality: Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
- Order Picking: Pull and prepare material for shipment.
- Loading: Efficiently move product from staging/storage into rail cars or trailers.
- Equipment: Use forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment; use radio frequency equipment.
- Maintain facility equipment and materials in neat, clean, orderly fashion.
- Inspect and perform minor maintenance on forklift daily.
- Operate all equipment safely and efficiently.
- Keep records for inventory control; assist in physical inventories.
- Ensure proper stock rotation.
- Maintain clean, neat, orderly work area; assist in warehouse security.
Qualifications
- Experience operating a forklift
- Basic math/counting skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 30 50 pounds
- Experience with multiple forklift types preferred
- Ability to understand instructions in English would be an advantage
