Food & Beverage Supervisor

We are currently looking for a full-time Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our Food & Beverage Department.

This position is responsible for assisting in the complete operation of Sports Grill, patio, skating/sports/curling and squash lounges, and sports bar.

• Manages service activities in the multiple dining areas throughout the Club, e.g., Sports Grill, Family Bistro, Sports Bar, Skating, Curling and Squash Lounges
• Ensures all areas are well-staffed and supervised to provide a smooth running operation by providing direct supervision of front staff
• Ensures meals and beverages are served in a professional and timely manner by circulating the dining areas and communicating with the kitchen and serving staff; including staffing, organization and execution of events
• Works with staff on all preparatory work prior to opening and closing
• Responsible for staffing levels; ensures staff are looking after their sections
• Fills front staff roles (e.g. Server, Host) when staff is not available and provides services to members and guest
• Maintains a high level of cleanliness standards within the department
• Provides ongoing training to new and existing front staff
• Liaises between members, service staff and kitchen
• Addresses member complaints and any problems that arise, as well as staff-related issues; escalates appropriately to the Food & Beverage Manager
• Communicates with other departments regarding event changes, member concerns and emergency situations
• Prepares bills and any related forms for functions, and maintains the ordering and storage of paper supplies
• Works in compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and any safety policies and procedures set out by the Club
• Conduct self in alignment with the Well Played service model (Prompt, Personalized, Polite) to support member services and respect in the workplace
