Flight Simulator Technician (FSTD)

Role overview

Duties and responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and assist with diagnosing technical problems on flight simulators and associated systems.
• Record maintenance activities, complete training, and perform pre-flight and post-flight checks.
• Perform basic visual alignments and run automatic Qualification Test Guides.
• Assist with simulator refurbishment and hardware modifications.
• Provide customer service support, perform housekeeping, and complete administrative tasks.
• Handle logistics duties including parts receipt, repair, testing, and validation.
• Support the technical services group and comply with quality, health, and safety requirements.

Minimum qualifications

• A 2-year technical degree or 4 years of experience in an electronic, avionic, or related technical environment.
• At least 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
• Ability to interpret system prints and schematics.
• Proficiency operating oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, logic analyzers, and similar test equipment.
