Job Purpose

  • BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor for equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia.
  • The Fleet Planning Supervisor monitors maintenance activity in the RSAF maintenance environment and ensures correct capture in the RSAF system of record (GOLDesp).
  • Reports deviations to line manager and ensures M&CA regulatory framework is applied.

Job Accountabilities

  • Assist with monitoring RSAF Form 1600 1 Significant Historical Data on asset installation.
  • Extract aircraft usage and life limiting data from RSAF system of record.
  • Notify line manager of aircraft maintenance anomalies in system of record.
  • Create presentations for various levels of leadership team.
  • Assist Fleet Planning Specialist with Tactical Brief creation.
  • Carry out investigations by interrogating data within GOLDesp.
  • Corroborate aircraft and system time change timelines between physical records, GOLDesp, and physical aircraft.
  • Ensure proper documentation of TCTO/SI/Teardown Inspection accomplishment in GOLDesp.
  • Use fall back reporting forms when GOLDesp system is down.
  • Assist Records Superintendent and R&M Lead with Pre Inspection and Post Output Review Meetings.
  • Review forms from hangar floor and off aircraft shops for filing completeness.
  • Notify Planning Team of IMS work package requirements on new TCTO/Time Change/Special Inspections.

Recruitment Specification Essential

  • Minimum NVQ3/ONC in relevant discipline, or Part 66 Category A, or equivalent.
  • Extensive post qualification practical maintenance/Continuing Airworthiness experience.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) Registration.
  • Demonstrate knowledge/understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering.
  • Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health & safety.
  • Familiar level of knowledge of Continuing Airworthiness.
  • Awareness of aircraft types managed and aircraft maintenance environment.
  • Familiar level of skills for Fleet Planning and Reliability Programme management.

Recruitment Specification Desirable

  • Able to work on own initiative to resolve technical issues.
  • Hold broad aerospace and defence company/industry knowledge.
  • Knowledge in using manual and computerised records management, data collection and information systems.
  • Understand Maintenance GOLDesp system or similar platform.
  • Experience of training/mentoring less experienced workplace colleagues.
  • Experience of building working relationships with stakeholders in Dhahran.
