In this role, you will:
Remove and fit rims and wheel assemblies on heavy earthmoving mining equipment
Remove, repair and refit tyres and wheel assemblies on heavy earthmoving mining equipment
Perform regular tyre inflation pressure checks, adjust and report to supervisor
Carry out regular haul road inspections
Source technical information from available reference manuals, technical bulletins, and computer-based systems
Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of equipment non-conformance, identify and record any equipment quality problems, initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels

The Opportunity
We are seeking experienced Tyre Fitters to join the maintenance crew at Pembroke Resource’s new autonomous mine in the Bowen Basin, the Olive Downs Complex.
Pembroke Resource’s Olive Downs Complex is a greenfield project located 80 kilometres South-East of Moranbah which commenced mining operations mid-2023. Thiess has recently been awarded a five-year contract to deliver full-service mining operations, including mine planning overburden removal, drill and blast, load and haul (autonomous), water management and rehabilitation as well as the construction of the mine infrastructure.

About you

RII30115 Certificate III in Surface Extraction Operations
Experience working as a tyre fitter in open cut mining in the maintenance of a heavy earthmoving tyre fleet
Hold current AUR21920 Cert II in Automotive Tyre Servicing or AURKTJ011 & AURKTJ012
Drivers Licence (HR drivers licence desirable)
